We design and deliver engaging show features across diverse sectors, including food, fashion, medical, and education. Working closely with established organisers and events, we create tailored feature areas that enhance visitor experience, encourage interaction, and add value to the overall exhibition environment. Whether it is a live demonstration kitchen at a food show, an interactive catwalk area at a fashion event, or a hands-on learning zone at an education expo, we bring the organiser’s vision to life through considered design, quality build, and on-site delivery.
Sectors we work across
Show features are as varied as the events they sit within. We work across multiple sectors, adapting our approach to the audience, the content, and the objectives of each event.
Food & drink
We design feature areas for food and drink exhibitions, including live demonstration kitchens, tasting zones, producer showcases, and award display areas. These spaces need to balance practical requirements like power, water, ventilation, and food safety with engaging, branded design that draws visitors in.
Fashion & retail
For fashion events, we create catwalk areas, trend zones, and curated display environments that reflect the aesthetic of the show and give exhibitors a compelling setting to present their ranges.
Medical & healthcare
In the medical sector, show features often take the form of demonstration areas, CPD zones, and interactive learning spaces. We design these to be professional, accessible, and compliant with the practical requirements of clinical demonstrations or hands-on workshops.
Education
We deliver feature areas for education exhibitions that support interactive learning, seminar delivery, and networking. These spaces are designed to be welcoming and functional, encouraging delegates to engage with content and each other.
How we work with organisers
Show features are commissioned by event organisers, not individual exhibitors, and our process reflects that. We work as a collaborative partner, taking the organiser’s brief and translating it into a designed, built, and installed feature area that adds genuine value to their event.
The process begins with a detailed conversation about the event’s objectives, audience profile, available space, and budget. From there, our design team creates concepts presented as 3D visualisations, allowing the organiser to see how the feature will look within the wider exhibition layout. We refine collaboratively until the design meets the brief.
Once approved, we produce working drawings, coordinate with the venue and any other suppliers, build components in our Kent workshop, and manage the full on-site installation and post-event breakdown. The organiser deals with one team throughout, from initial concept to final handover.
What a show feature includes
Every show feature is different, but the elements we typically design and deliver include:
- Spatial design and layout planning, tailored to the feature’s content and the flow of the wider exhibition
- Branded graphics, signage, and wayfinding
- Bespoke joinery, furniture, and display elements
- Lighting design to highlight key areas and create atmosphere
- AV integration where required, including screens, sound, and interactive displays
- Practical infrastructure such as power distribution, flooring, and access points
We build as much as possible in-house before transporting to the site, which gives us control over quality and reduces on-site build time.

Show features FAQs
A show feature is a designed area within an exhibition that is commissioned by the event organiser rather than an individual exhibitor. It might be a demonstration area, a themed zone, an interactive space, or an award showcase. Show features add value to the overall event by enhancing the visitor experience and encouraging engagement.
Show features are typically commissioned by event organisers, but we also work directly with exhibiting brands on custom exhibition stands, trade show stand design, and outdoor exhibition stands. If you are an exhibitor looking for a stand, visit our custom exhibition stands or trade show stand design pages.
We recommend getting in touch at least ten to twelve weeks before the event, and earlier for larger or more complex feature areas. This allows time for design development, organiser approvals, build, and logistics.
Yes. We design show features with reuse in mind wherever possible. Components can be reconfigured for future editions of the same event or adapted for use at different exhibitions, reducing cost and environmental impact.
